Al-Fanar Media is a leading independent news platform dedicated to providing in-depth coverage of academic life in the Arab world. Launched in 2013 by the Alexandria Trust, a London-based nonprofit organization committed to advancing educational access and quality in the Arab world, Al-Fanar Media has since positioned itself as a critical voice in Arab higher education.

The company strives for balance, accuracy, and neutrality in its reporting, offering an array of services including a bilingual (English and Arabic) publication that features new articles in a biweekly newsletter. This platform encourages open, critical discussion among institutions, leaders, and stakeholders, both within and beyond the Arab region.

One of Al-Fanar Media's key differentiators is its commitment to inspiring journalists in the region to focus on education coverage.
