Description

Every episode, Thom introduces a new whiskey — and then invites his sister Patsy to taste it. Patsy doesn't like whiskey. More truthfully, she can't stand it. Her reaction is rated on the Whiskey Face Scale: five levels of suffering, from Manageable to Not Happening. Each episode covers the whiskey's history and character, Thom's tasting notes, Patsy's completely unscripted reaction, and a Redemption Round — a cocktail or pairing designed to bring her back from the edge. It may not work. Season 1 opens with Maker's Mark and works its way through Woodford Reserve's Toasted Oak Four Grain release, a 100% rye that bruises on contact, perhaps the most coveted bottle in American bourbon, and a 12-year-old Scotch from a distillery that's been running since 1824.
