Description
The National Barbecue & Grilling Association (NBBQA) was founded in January 1991 and officially incorporated in North Carolina in 1993. It was created to serve the broad, diverse, and fast-growing barbecue industry. At that time, several organizations supported specific regions or segments of the BBQ world—but none aimed to unite the entire industry. NBBQA filled that gap by becoming the one organization built to connect, support, and elevate every aspect of the barbecue and grilling community. Over the years, NBBQA has grown into a powerful network that links all branches of the barbecue “family tree.” From restaurant owners, caterers, and suppliers to competitors and backyard enthusiasts, our members share a common bond: a passion for BBQ and a desire to learn, share, and celebrate this uniquely American tradition.
