About Andrea is a documentary photographer, a contributor to The New York Times Magazine and to National Geographic, and a visual researcher at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Milano-Bicocca He grew up in Milan, where he studied art and architecture. One week after his graduation, he took a flight to the Amazon Forest, following a small NGO, where he realized his first photo story. Since then, he decided to devote himself entirely to photography, using it as a means for discovery and storytelling. He began traveling and worked on several photo reports, primarily in Africa, South America, and the Mediterranean region. He has worked on personal projects
