We always had books in the house – not always the appropriate kind for a young girl, which just made them more desirable. Lost in a world of stories, I was always a dreamer. Schooled in Sydney and Tweed Heads, I completed high school at Hornsby Girls High, where I was also Head Prefect – and was not a suck, despite what my sister, Jenny, thinks.
