Join us in making a difference for furry friends in need. | About Us Last Hope Animal Rescue was founded in 2004 by a group of likeminded and caring individuals who saw the need to form a collective that could help local animals in need. We have evolved in many ways in our 20 years as a rescue organization, and are proud to serve the needs of animals in Eastern Iowa! We are a 100% volunteer run organization and receive no state or federal funding. Last Hope relies on the generosity of our donors and supporters to continue our life-saving work! In 2015, with the help of a capital campaign, Last Hope purchased a commercial property in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to grow our footprint and capacity to offer urgent care for those animals most in need.
