About I bake things. Cakes, pies, pastries, cookies, ice cream—I love it all. In college I was the cookie girl. Now, I’m known for my Charity Cakes (because my name is Charity, not because they’re donations). I adore every step of the baking process, from thinking up a recipe to sharing it with people I love. Why poetry and pies? I’m also a high school English teacher. Literature and baking are my two favorite things in the world. Plus, baking is at once a science and an art.
