About hey there! I’m Katie I’m a Michigan native, wife of an airline pilot, and mom of two! I’ve loved clothes and putting outfits together for as long as I can remember. But after graduating college during the Great Recession, with student loans and a low-paying job, I found myself stuck in a style rut. I couldn’t afford new clothes, so I started getting creative with what I already had, discovered the joy of thrifting, and learned how to build a wardrobe I truly loved—without spending a lot. That’s how Thrifty Wife Happy Life began. Over the years, my style (and budget) has continued to evolve as I’ve grown older, but one thing hasn’t changed: I believe fashion doesn’t have to be expensive
