Why A BAGeL? The origin of the name "BAGeL Radio" TL; DR: it started off as an informal, irregular e-mail to our music-loving friends. In late 90s San Francisco as Web 2.0 was taking shape we found that live events would sell out before our friends could get tickets. We’d show up to “sold out” venues to find them perhaps 2/3s full because many who had bought tickets didn’t bother to show up. To combat this we’d send e-mails to friends about when tickets were going on sale for favorite local bands & touring bands who were coming to town.
