Releasing music from talented and fiercely independent artists. | Independent since 2008 Our ambition for Mom+Pop has been and always will be a collaborative label with transparency and deep respect for our artists’ creative controls. When our founder Michael Goldstone started the company in 2008, he came up with 56 possible names for the label – 55 of which were New York-centric, inspired by 4th & B’way Records. His 56th idea, and the one finally landed on, was Mom+Pop Music. In our early years, we opened up in Times Square at 49th and 7th across the street from the famous Brill Building, where so many classic hits were written. Mom+Pop’s roster and team grew, including bringing on present-day co-owner Thaddeus Rudd.
