I’m Jeff Garmire, trail name Legend, a professional ultrarunner, running coach, record-setting thru-hiker, and host of the Free Outside podcast. This channel is about trail running, ultramarathons, thru-hiking, backpacking, fastpacking, Fastest Known Times, endurance training, outdoor adventures, and the occasional questionable idea. Expect podcast interviews, race and FKT recaps, training advice, gear discussions, trail stories, outdoor films, and some lighthearted comedy. I’ve hiked more than 40,000 miles and set over 20 FKTs, including the self-supported Appalachian Trail record.
