Women’s History Scotland was founded as the Scottish Women’s History Network in 1995. We have existed in our current form since 1998 and became Women’s History Scotland in 2004. Aims To encourage contact between all people interested in women’s and gender history in Scotland, whether in education, community groups, the media or private research and study To provide a forum for discussion on issues relating to women’s and gender history To discover and promote the use of new sources for women’s history in Scotland To promote research into all areas of women’s history To support women working in historical studies Our Values We value the experiences, skills, knowledge and diversity of every wo | WHS Steering Committee WHS is run by a Steering Committee, elected each year by the membership at the AGM.
