We are Michigan Undergrads Serving In the Community; we are MUSIC Matters Who We are Founded in 2011, MUSIC Matters is a student-run non-profit organization that aims to use the unifying power of music to drive social impact in our community. MUSIC Matters was founded by eleven students with the idea that music can connect people of all cultures, backgrounds, orientations, ethnicities, and nationalities. These students recognized a lack of unity on their campus, and music became their vehicle to drive social change. Today, we’re one of the largest student organizations at the University of Michigan, with ~200 members working across 5 committees.
