About Amanda Amanda is a 40-something, queer, disabled, and chronically ill mum of one. She has loved writing ever since she was a child, and several teachers assumed she would go on to become a writer – how right they were! She was a blogger from 2006 – 2026, at which point she made the decision to focus her very limited energy on writing books rather than blog posts. But you can still find some of her most important posts about disability and LGBTQ+ issues on this site. She has always been disabled, having lifelong conditions such as hEDS, Autism, and ADHD.
