Welcome to Once Upon a Bookcase, my LGBTQ+ YA and fantasy book blog. I'm Jo (she/her), a Children's Bookseller of nine years, and I have been blogging at Once Upon a Bookcase since 2009. In June 2022, Once Upon a Bookcase took a move to focus primarily on LGBTQ+ YA, fantasy, and horror. Reading preferences: I am all about LGBTQ+ stories for children of all ages, and adult fantasy and horror focusing of LGBTQ+ characters. I love reading YA of most genres (rarely historical and sci-fi), and all fantasy subgenres; especially high fantasy - especially non-western inspired high fantasy - and magical realism.
