In the book, Renee shares her critique of transgenderism, and offers a survey of the political landscape in light of all that can be learned from that ideology. Renee was the first feminist in New Zealand to publicly critique transgenderism, and her writing and organising led to the creation of several feminist groups including Speak Up For Women.
