I am a proud Black woman of Haitian descent who is straddling multiple cultures at all times. I grew up trying to be “American” but realized in adulthood that I don’t care to be narrowed down. I am a major food enthusiast, all kinds and all cultures; but no dairy, no alcohol or pork, thank you.
