The Escape Story Escape Campervans launched in 2009 and spent the next 16 years turning first-time renters into lifelong road-trippers, with a fleet of hand-painted campervans and locations across the country. In November 2025, the original Escape Campervans closed. Its fleet was sold at public auction, and the company wound down operations. In 2026, Avanti Campervans , a family-owned campervan rental operator and outfitter, acquired the Escape Campervans name and trademark and relaunched Escape Campervans as a new company with a new fleet.
