Baker rode into Raleigh, North Carolina on a mule. He had a trade, a work ethic, and a belief that doing things right wasn’t optional. He started a roofing company on those principles, hung a sign in his warehouse, and got to work. That sign read: “We shall do good work, at a profit if we can, at a loss if we must, but always good work.” It still hangs in our office today. And everything we’ve built since, every crew, every location, every relationship, is an extension of that same promise.
