About Us — Extinct Menu FOUNDING Contributors Adrian Currie is a senior lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Philosophy and Anthropology at the University of Exeter. He is generally interested in scientific method under non-ideal circumstances. A major part of his research focuses on epstemic and methodological questions about scientific access to the past. He is the author of Rock, Bone, and Ruin: An Optimist’s Guide to the Historical Sciences (2018), Scientific Knowledge and the Deep Past (2019), and Comparative Thinking in Biology (2021).
