Welcome to the Cake Merchant! I’m Natasha, the cake maker behind this blog. Here, I share my favorite cakes, baking tips, dessert experiments, and the occasional picture of my dog. I started baking as a teenager when I would spend the summers in India with my grandparents. They were both July babies, but being lacto-vegetarians (non egg eaters), they didn’t have cake on their birthday. This was not acceptable to me, so I experimented with eggless cakes in my grandmother’s oven that only had two settings- off and scorch.
