About Kevin Kevin Loughrin grew up in Bolingbrook, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. He wrote his first short story when he was in fifth-grade. During his freshman year of college, Kevin wrote a non-fiction piece about golfing with his father. The piece won Kevin his first award in creative writing. His sophomore year, Kevin began his career as a stage performer, starring in Shakespeare’s Love’s Labors Lost. He also auditioned for his college’s improv/sketch comedy team, where he would write, perform, and improvise hundreds of sketches and scenes during the course of the next three years.
