Published by Straus News since its inception in 2011, Dirt went nonprofit in 2023 with the establishment of the Dirt Foundation, enabling us to raise funds to offset the rising costs of printing and mailing. This shift also allows us to expand educational programming like our annual Kitchen Garden Tour. While we continue to share office space and staff with Straus News, Dirt now operates with its own bank account and board of directors, underscoring our growing independence and commitment to our mission.
