I’m a left-brain scientist turned right-brain explorer, now retired in North Carolina and chasing light for the sheer joy of it. I discovered photography during my college years but it became a serious pursuit after moving to the desert Southwest in 2007. As a scientist by profession, I spend much of my life in a world of analysis and precision. Photography gives me the opportunity to explore my creative side while still satisfying the part of me that enjoys the technical challenges of light, composition, and camera technique.
