ABRIL MACÍAS ÁVILA I am an Ecuadorian writer, recipe developer, and photographer who explores the many ways food tells stories. I’m the founder and editor of Chiú , one of Ecuador’s pioneering food culture magazines, where I oversee editorial content and collaborate with a talented team to highlight diverse culinary stories. We have published two print issues, Líquida (2024) and Paisajes Comestibles (2026). Through this platform, I aim to elevate the conversation about Latin American gastronomy both locally and internationally.
