Daily news and opinion for professional cartoonists since 2005. | The Daily Cartoonist , or TDC, was launched in 2005 as the leading source of industry news for professional cartoonists drawing comic strips and editorial cartoons. Its audience included cartoonists, newspaper editors, syndicates, historians and comic fans around the world. Coverage also grew to include webcomics, movies and animation, and magazine gag cartoonists. Nineteen years later, TDC is still a community of comic enthusiasts and artists. TDC History 2005-2016: Alan Gardner founded TDC in 2005 and was the sole contributor/editor through 2016. 2016-2022: Andrews McMeel Universal owned and operated the TDC.
