Indeed, he knew what he was put here to do. We are talking about a very long time ago: when Leonard Pitts was five, John F. Kennedy was still in the White House, “Whites Only” signs were still on the walls, and the Beatles had not yet invaded America. The world has changed a great deal since then. But one thing never did.
