In Chimera World, C. Cummings explores the myriad ways that beings, environments, and categories combine to produce counter-normativity and difference; from Precambrian prokaryotic cells to Punks and everything in between. Chimera World is a place where the skin or membrane around a being is not a barrier but an interface. Where, instead of precise distinctions, we get Venn-couplings, cut-ups, cross-dissolves, and multi-scaled nested comminglings. Notions of identity and individuality lose their meaning.Published in conjunction with a talk given in NYC for the nonprofit Nonhuman Teachers, this | Apogee Graphics page | Apogee Graphics Apogee Graphics is a design and publishing company founded by artists Laura Owens and Asha Schechter.
