Archive Liberia is a memory project that examines Liberia’s histories on the African continent and across the diaspora. Publicly launched in 2020, it is an ongoing effort to reconstruct personal and collective Liberian memory: an iterative practice of returning, questioning, and reordering. Rooted in the belief that memory and lived experience alone cannot offer a complete account of our history, Archive Liberia positions study as central to how we come to know, name, and preserve our past.
