Prior to that, I lived and worked for many years in the greater Washington, DC area. I began my photographic “career” during undergraduate school in the ‘70s. Like most of us who fell in love with the medium, I suspect, the magic of an image appearing under the safelight was captivating. I mastered enough of the traditional darkroom processes to make satisfactory prints and to keep me engaged.
