ABOUT — ELVINA SCOTT Photograph by Elizabeth Haynes For her non-fiction work, Elvina has been awarded writing residencies at MacDowell, PLAYA Summer Lake, Storyknife, Looking Glass Arts, Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, and Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. For her disability rights and caregiver rights advocacy, Elvina was named a Caring Across Generations Care Fellow as a representative for New York. Elvina is a certified Wild Writing teacher and teaches Brave Writing, a generative free write practice. Elvina graduated from Smith College as an Ada Comstock Scholar.
