About Who We Are At Boston University’s Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, our work is guided by the most basic of rehabilitation values: that first and foremost, persons with mental health conditions have the same goals and dreams as any other person. Founded by Dr. William Anthony in 1979, our mission has been to assist individuals with mental health conditions to live, learn, work, and socialize in communities of their choice. This value is reflected in all the work we do: we conduct ground-breaking research studies; we deliver innovative recovery services to college students, adults, and families; and we provide cutting-edge training and technical assistance to mental health programs
