Hi. I’m Lyss. I became a mom at 20, and it’s always been just the two of us. We grew up together. For my entire adult life, my daughter has been my world. Every decision I made was filtered through “what’s best for her?” Every plan revolved around her schedule, her needs, her life. And then she left for college in fall 2024, and I didn’t know who I was anymore. Everyone kept telling me that this would be freeing, that I should be celebrating. But I wasn’t celebrating. I was stuck on the couch. Empty. Alone. That’s why I wanted to create this podcast. No one should have to go it alone.
