Chiarella, and I am the principal author. What changed my mindset the most in my adult life has been learning about the built environment (towns, cities, infrastructure, zoning, roads, streets, transit). It upended how I understood many things that I took for granted. Several facts went against every “reasonable” assumption. Take for example, the wide, flat, and straight road.
