My name is Nikki :) My mom taught me to sew at a very early age. She was so patient to teach me and I still remember those first projects. For my sixteenth birthday, I was gifted a sewing machine of my own and the rest is really history. I got married at nineteen, a month before September 11th. My husband deployed to the Iraq War in 2003 and throughout those nine months, I could be found spending most of my free time sewing, often teaching friends while I was at it, working on all kind of projects, from knocking off garments we'd see at the mall, to slipcovering furniture.
