About me My name is Dr. Joe Meyer. I'm currently a full-time lecturer at the University at Albany in upstate NY. I've been teaching college-level literature and writing courses since 2006. My research areas include early American literature (Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Melville, and Emily Dickinson); the heroic narrative, studies in awe, AI and culture, and neomodernism. I fell in love with the Twilight Zone when I was a kid, and I still love it today.
