About — Written in Melanin C. M. Lockhart (also known as Chelsea) is a best-selling author who writes books about Black girls who aren't all that nice. She is the founder of Written in Melanin LLC — which includes a podcast and YouTube channel of the same name — and the Melanin Library, an online database of books written by Black authors. Her short stories have been published with FIYAH Literary Magazine and other anthologies; she is a contributing editor for Magic in the Melanin: A Black Fantasy Anthology .
