Former evangelical pastor turned filmmaker, hiker, and storyteller figuring life out one video at a time. On this channel you’ll find honest conversations about leaving high control religion, mental health, fatherhood, adoption and foster care, public lands, politics, creativity, body image, hiking, and trying to become a better human being in a very weird world. I spent years trying to fit into systems that wanted certainty, silence, and conformity. Now I’m far more interested in curiosity, compassion, growth, and telling the truth about my own life, even when it’s messy. If you’ve ever felt out of place, burned out, deconstructing, overwhelmed, hopeful, anxious, inspired by nature, frustrated with the world, or just trying to figure yourself out, you’ll probably fit in here.
