The Rev. Dr. Robert W. Lee is a public theologian, author, and pastor living in North Carolina. A graduate of Appalachian State University and Duke University Divinity School, Rev. Lee is a doctoral candidate at the Pacific School of Religion. Dr. Lee has preached from such pulpits as Harvard’s Memorial Church, the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, the University of Chicago’s Rockefeller Chapel, the American Cathedral in Paris, and Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington D.C. In 2020, Lee testified before Congress on statues of his collateral ancestor, Robert E. Lee. He participated in the 2021 Inaugural Prayer Service for President Joe Biden. Lee is the author of four books with a fifth on the way. He’s an avid autograph collector. He’s married to Stephanie Lee, and is parent to Athena and Phoenix, whom Stephanie and him adopted in 2021. He’s also the proud parent to Frank and Maggie, his poodle and goldendoodle.
