I don’t try to make jazz “easy.” But I don’t explain it dishonestly either. This channel is built around a weekly live stream, along with live performance videos and short clips taken from those sessions. The focus is on jazz as it actually happens on the bandstand — how musicians think in real time, how structure, history, and improvisation connect, and why many common shortcuts don’t really work. This is not a beginner’s channel. I don’t offer quick fixes or easy answers. Instead, I talk about ideas that stay useful over the long run. If you want to take jazz seriously, this channel is for you.
