Derek Beck Derek Beck grew up in the wide-skied sandbox of Southwest Nebraska, where both branches of his family tree were rooted in soil, and a whole lot of registered Black Angus courtesy of his Grandpa and Grandma Ferguson. While the cattle eventually retired, Derek never did. He wandered into radio in the late 90s, back when CDs were still a thing, and has been riding the airwaves ever since with stops in McCook, Ne, Scottsbluff, Ne, and North Platte, Ne overseeing dozens of radio stations in the cornhusker state. Along the way he collected national honors from New Music Weekly in Los Angeles, a Music Reporter of the Year nod from Music Row Magazine in Nashville, and an unofficial trophy
