I'm a UK based documentary film maker and live in the New Forest. I was born in London. My grandmother who was a member of a trick cyclist troop that performed all over the world (including the London Palladium) introduced me to the stage at the age of 11 Acting at school Pontius Pilate and Noah in Chester Mystery Plays Artemidorus in George Bernard Shaws Caesar and Cleopatra 1966 Joined BBC hoping to become a film cameraman ended up in the accounts dept 1969 Joined ITN as an Assistant Editor 1969 ITN worked on The moon landing 1970 ITN helped edit material shot on Chris Bonningtons Annapurna expedition 1969 ITN worked on news stories on the Vietnam War and the Dawson's Field PFLP hijack 1973 Southern TV Editor on many programmes including Jack Hargreaves "Out of Town" 1983-5 Produced 60 Channel 4 programmes with Jack Hargreaves "Old Country" 1985 - Dave Knowles Films based in The New Forest, UK making documentaries.
