My DNA Surprise In July 2021, I excitedly opened my Ancestry DNA results to learn more about my Mexican-American heritage. Instead, I uncovered the shock of a lifetime – the man I'd called "Dad" for 35 years was not my biological father. My results also challenged what I'd always believed about my racial identity.
