Description
The Human Rights Center—recipient of the MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions— conducts world-class research and investigations into some of the most pressing human rights crises of our times. Using scientific methods and innovative technologies, we support efforts to hold perpetrators accountable and protect vulnerable populations. We train students and advocates to document human rights violations and turn this information into effective action. We draw on the expertise at UC Berkeley to bring people together to strengthen the global movement for human rights.
