The NARM® Training Institute is the home of the NeuroAffective Relational Model® (NARM®), an approach to understanding and working with the effects of complex and developmental trauma. On this channel you’ll find teachings from NARM founder Dr. Laurence Heller & other NARM Teachers, demonstration sessions, conversations with practitioners, and discussions exploring the dynamics that influence trauma and healing. NARM addresses complex and developmental trauma by focusing on the patterns of disconnection that formed early in life and continue to shape our adult experiences. Rather than focusing primarily on traumatic events, NARM works with the adaptive patterns and survival strategies people developed to survive—patterns that were once necessary, but now limit connection and well-being.
