UC Berkeley Public Health: Health Equity and Social Justice for All The first school of public health west of the Mississippi, the University of California, Berkeley, School of Public Health was founded in 1943 on the UC Berkeley campus. We’re at the forefront of solving complex public health problems through our groundbreaking research, world-class education and community-engaged action.
