Prof. Dr. İlhan Elmacı is one of Turkey's leading neurosurgery specialists.Born in Niğde, Elmacı completed his education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. He began his specialty training in 1987 at Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital and completed his residency in 1993.He received micro-neurosurgery training at Zurich University's “M. Gazi Yaşargil Clinic.”From 2004 to 2010, he served as the Clinic Chief at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital.In 2010,he earned the title of Neurosurgery Professor at Acıbadem University. He worked at Acıbadem Health Group Maslak Hospital between 2018-2021 and has been serving in his private clinic in Fulya since 2021.As the founder of the Skull Base Association,Elmacı holds a significant place in the field of neurosurgery with his scientific contributions. His areas of expertise include brain,skull base tumors,pituitary adenomas, and back pain.His ethical principle is "As much as necessary and life quality-preserving treatment."
