He created his online alter ego YOLOBirder for bird-related kicks, and somehow managed to blag his way onto the BBC Tweet of the Day and Springwatch, receiving the undeserved honour of being named an Unsprung Hero for his #99Birds art book project. That was the precursor of Red Sixty Seven , a book he curated of art and words raising money for the UK’s red-listed bird species.
