Description
Each year, the LightHouse touches the lives of thousands of people--people who have been blind their whole lives or people who are new to blindness because of eye disease or trauma. Founded in San Francisco in 1902, the LightHouse's mission is to promote the independence, equality and self-reliance of people who are blind or visually impaired. Approximately 3,000 individuals from all over Northern California participate in our programs each year.
