A journal of creative writing by students at Macquarie University | In 2012 students and journal editors from the ENGL390 Writing for Production and Publication class devised the journal’s name, The Quarry, and launched its first issue. The name symbolises the journey every writer embarks on when they decide to write. It acknowledges the imaginative depths that writers delve into to find their unique characters and new worlds, and speaks to the dedication a writer needs to bring these riches to the surface. The Quarry publishes creative writing by postgraduate and undergraduates students and alumni from the Faculty of Arts in the genres of fiction, non-fiction and poetry.
